September 16, 2008: Wal-Mart announced proposed plans to build a new store in East Patchogue.
November 2008: Community gathers to question the project, citing 5 Wal-Mart stores within a 15 miles of the proposed site.
Asking questions surrounding Wal-Mart's lack of business ethics, lack of respect for communities, failure to provide quality jobs, the enormous threat on local businesses, cost to tax-payers, increased traffic and crime, environmental threats, we ask:
Do we really need Wal-Mart in our community?
Today: Join the coalition to keep Wal-Mart out of East Patchogue.
